On February 6th a devastating earthquake shook the nations of Turkey and Syria.  The damage caused and the loss of life is immense,  with recent news reports mentioning more than 40,000 dead as a result of this. Millions of people have been affected, with countless homes and buildings destroyed and rendered uninhabitable. In Turkey alone, the death toll has surpassed 35,000.
